A bomb blast has killed at least 65 people in a predominantly Shia Muslim section of Karachi, Pakistan.  More than 60 more people are wounded.  Women and children are said to be among the victims.

The blast occurred in a residential plaza in Abbas Town near Abul Hassan Isfahani Road.  Worshippers were just leaving a Mosque after evening prayers.

This is the latest attack against minority Shia Muslims in Pakistan.   Nearly 200 people were killed in bombings in the southwestern city of Quetta since the beginning of the year.  Suspicion is falling on some Sunni Muslim groups who consider the Shia to be heretics.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has cleared his schedule and is overseeing the rescue and recovery operation.
