Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is endorsing Marriage Equality rights for gays and lesbians.  She’s widely expected to run for President in 2016.

In a video released by the gay rights group Human Rights Campaign, Clinton says gays and lesbians are "full and equal citizens and deserve the rights of citizenship.”

“That includes marriage," Clinton said, adding that she supports gay marriage "personally and as a matter of policy and law.”

It puts her in line with the other major Democrats expected to run to replace President Barack Obama at the end of his term.

Clinton’s spouse, former President Bill Clinton, had earlier written an editorial for the influential Washington Post backing Marriage Equality and urging the supreme count to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act, which he signed into law.  The act the Bill Clinton now disavows limits marriage to the legal union of one man and one woman for federal and inter-state recognition purposes.
