Hello Australia!! - New details on the Margaret River Massacre - Malaysia's scandal-plagued ex-PM will have to stay and face the music - The Ayatollah trolls Trump - And more in your CareerSpot Global News Briefs:

The massacre in Osmington near the Margaret River in Western Australia appears to have involved three generations of one family.  Neighbors identified the dead as Katrina Miles and her children aged eight to 13 years, who were found inside one building; and her parents Cynda and Peter Miles who were found outside.  News Corp is reporting the grandfather is suspected to be the shooter, and two weapons belonging to Peter Miles were retrieved from the scene.  Katrina and Cynda each recently made social media posts referring to the children as autistic and home-schooled.  "They were a very socially aware family, doing their best to create a safe community, and that is why it is so shocking," said neighbor Felicity Haynes to the ABC.

Did former Malaysian prime minister Najib Razak just try to flee the country?  The government prevented a private plane from taking off from a small airport near Kuala Lumpur "for security reasons", and the Wall Street Journal reports that Najib and his wife Rosmah Mansor were the only passengers on the manifest.  Najib lost Malaysia's election to his former mentor 92-year old Mahathir Mohamad, who has promised to investigate corruption - especially the multi-billion dollar fraud at the 1MDB fund that Najib founded.

The weirdest thing is happening:  Europe is racing to try to save the Iran Nuclear Deal days after the moron Donald Trump violated the multi-lateral deal by ending US participation; but Iran seems to be having fun with the whole thing, trolling Trump at every opportunity.  Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei posted a photo of himself at the Tehran Book Fair reading journalist Michael Wolff's tell-all book about dysfunction and incompetence in the Trump White House "Fire and Fury".  Seriously, when did Ayatollahs start doing that?  Meanwhile, German Chancellor Angela Merkel is reaching out to Vladimir Putin to try to keep the deal alive without US participation, and British PM Theresa May reportedly spoke with Trump.  The Europeans are trying to shield their companies during business with Iran from penalties in the US.

The UN World Health Organization is putting ten countries on "high alert" after Ebola made a comeback in the Democratic Republic of Congo, killing as many as 18 people.  So far, the outbreak is limited to a remote area near Bikoro, but is threatening the regional capital Mbandaka - a city with more than a million citizens.  "If we see a town of that size infected with Ebola, then we are going to have a major urban outbreak," said WHO emergency response chief Peter Salama.  WHO says it is ready to deploy an experimental vaccine that helped slow the devastating West African Ebola Epidemic a few years ago, but is waiting to receive permission from DRC authorities.
