At least 14 people have been killed and 26 others wounded following a bus-bomb explosion along the border between Turkey and Syria.  The busy crossing is used by Turkish trucks delivering goods south, and Syrian refugees going north.

Turkish investigators say a minibus with Syrian license plates came from the Syrian side and exploded.  They are for now stopping short of labeling it a “suicide attack”.

Turkey has responded to spillover from the Syrian Civil War with cross-border gunfire and mortar rounds, and is currently hosting NATO Patriot missile batteries to defend against attacks from Syria.
