Colombian Police have intercepted a half-ton of cocaine that was hidden in a shipment of bricks.  The haul would have been worth $1.7 Million on the streets of the United States.

Investigators say the bricks were in port at Cartagena, addressed to a construction company in Honduras, which they suspect doesn’t build anything at all but exists only as a front for smuggling.  From Honduras, the bricks would have been smuggled north into the U.S.

The American Drug Enforcement Administration had gotten a tip about the construction firm and passed it on to Colombian authorities.
