Three more suspects have been arrested in the Boston Marathon Bombing, on charges of making false statements to investigators and conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Federal agents already have accused two brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, of carrying out the attack. 26-year old Tamerlan died after a shootout with police, and 19-year old Dzhokhar is in custody.

Two of the new suspects are Kazakh men connected to the surviving Tsarnaev brother.  Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov came to America from Kazakhstan to study at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, where Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was also enrolled.  They were already hauled before a federal judge on allegations they violated their student visas.  NBC News is reporting the three are suspected to removing items from Dzhokhar’s dorm room after the Marathon attack.

The third man, Robel Phillipos, is accused of lying to investigators.  None of the three are implicated in plotting the attacks.

Feds say video evidence shows the Tsarnaev brothers planting bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on 15 April, killing three people and injured more than 260 others.
