American Liberals were quite upset when a right-wing Congressman invited former rock star Ted Nugent as his personal guest to view President Obama’s State of the Union Address.  But they got the last laugh as the notoriously homophobe squirmed in his seat next to an equally outspoken Liberal LGBT activist.

You know, Ted Nugent:  The tough-talking gun aficionado who earned special visits from the U.S. Secret service for claiming he’d be “dead or in jail” if President Obama was reelected (he was and we’re still waiting, Ted).

Seating planners got the best of the Nuge by placing him in the back row of the gallery beside Thomas Lauderdale, leader of Pink Martini, a self-described "little orchestra" from Portland, Oregon that specializes in crossing over genres including classical, latin, jazz and classic pop.

Despite the obvious cultural chasm, Lauderdale said the two enjoyed some small talk about growing up in hunting states, and listening to Dick Dale and the British Invasion in the 1960s.
