Shannon Lee's Bruce Lee Enterprises is suing a Chinese restaurant chain for using the image of the late, iconic martial arts movie star without permission for 15 years.

Since 2004, the restaurant has used a the image of a dark haired man in a yellow jumpsuit that, to the casual viewer, resembles the outfit that Bruce Lee wore in his final, uncompleted film "Game of Death".  Kungfu Management replied on social media that it thought it had permission to use the image.
Hey, I know that guy..

"We're confused that we are prosecuted many years later," the statement read, "We're actively studying the case and preparing to respond."

The daughter of Bruce Lee is demanding 210 million Yuan (AU$43.2 Million) in damages and more than AU$18,000 in legal expenses from the Real Kungfu chain, owned by Kungfu Catering Management.  The case could prove to be a test for the Chinese government's pledge to protect intellectual property rights.

Shannon Lee is also asking the chain, called "Zhen Gongfu" in China and known for steaming its food, to immediately cease using her father's image and to tell its customers that it has nothing to do with the martial arts legend.
