Judges have ruled that Donald Trump's Aberdeenshire golf resort must pay the Scottish government's legal over Trump's ill-fated battle to stop the North Sea wind power development.

The project, developed by the Swedish energy group Vattenfall, involves eleven wind turbines in the sea off of Aberdeen.  It began generating power last Summer, and will produce the equivalent of more than 70 percent of Aberdeen's domestic electricity demand with a total generating capacity of 93.2 MW.

Trump claimed the development would spoil the view from his Trump International Golf Club Scotland at Menie, and waged a lengthy battle to stop it, ultimately failing with a unanimous ruling from the British Supreme Court in 2015.  The case was lengthy, and Holyrood racked up some serious legal bills that Trump's organization will now have to pay.  The exact amount has not yet been disclosed.
