A year after much of the world was repulsed by the killing of Cecil the Lion, the best-known animal of Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park from where he was lured for an illegal hunt, the hunter may have made it back into the news - at the US Republican National Convention.

Social media went crazy trying to guess the identity of a middle aged bespectacled man sitting in the VIP box with Donald Trump's sons Uday and Qusay and the daughter the US Republican Party presidential candidate and fascist demagogue says inappropriate sexual things about.  Many believe the man was wealthy Minneapolis-area dentist Walter Palmer, the hunter who killed Cecil the Lion.

In 2015, a hunting party killed Cecil after luring him off Hwange where he wasn't just protected - he was fitted with a radio collar for scientific study.  Prior to this, Cecil was the park's biggest tourist draw.  "This killing is a huge loss to our tourism sector that was contributing immensely to the national wealth", said Emanuel Fundira, the president of the Safari Operators Association of Zimbabwe.  "We had a lot of people, in terms of visitors, coming in to the country to enjoy and view Cecil, so really this was a great loss," he added.

Palmer had paid US$50,000 to a Zimbabwean guide to take him out on a hunt to murder a lion.  They lured Cecil the Lion out of the safety of Hwange, and Palmer shot him with an arrow.  They tracked the wounded and bleeding animal for 40 hours, finishing him off with a rifle round on 1 July 2015.  Word of the killing got out when park rangers finally found Cecil's headless, skinned body - and the radio collar was "missing".

Palmer wasn't charged because he had purchased a hunting permit, but two Zimbabweans are still facing charges.  And Palmer didn't necessarily avoid consequences.  Negative publicity was worldwide; clients left his dental practice and his vacation home in Florida was vandalized.

Anyway, Trump's sons Douchebag Von F*ckface and Thurston Sh*tbag III are known to be avid hunters.  They've uploaded to social media numerous photos of the animals they've killed on big, expensive safaris, often holding severed pieces of the animals to prove how totally awesome they are.  Did they find a new convention buddy in the most-hated hunter in the world?
