Iran last week announced it had tested a medium range missile, leading news agencies around the world to pick up the story and prompting Donald Trump to tweet about it.  'Turns out it never happened.

Iran's state television showed the missile being trucked through Tehran in a military parade, but then passed off older video of an earlier missile launch as the test.

This matters because the orange clown used his address before the United Nations General Assembly last week to complain about the Iran Nuclear Deal which got Tehran to end its weapons program.  He hinted that he'd decertify the deal and leave it to the Congress to decide if the US will remain a participant.

By Saturday, Trump was using the now-debunked "launch" to complain about the unrelated nuclear deal: "Iran just test-fired a Ballistic Missile capable of reaching Israel.  They are also working with North Korea," he tweeted, "Not much of an agreement we have!"

It's not clear if Trump had gotten a US intelligence briefing on what did and didn't happened in Iran before he fired off a tweet hinting that he'd scrap a deal that his own government acknowledges is working.  And if he does make a decision, it'd be nice to know if it was grounded in facts or delusion.
