Government - Mexico Still Won't Pay For Trump's Wall
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto told his people for the umpteenth time that their country will not pay for Donald Trump's wall along the US Mexico border.
"Mexico does not believe in walls. I've said time again; Mexico will not pay for any wall," President Pena Nieto said in a video statement posted to Twitter. He also said he had ordered his government to step up protection for Mexican immigrants in the United States: "I've asked for the minister of Foreign Relations to re-enforce protection measures to our citizens."
Earlier, the orange clown in the White House issued an executive order to build an "impassable physical barrier" along the US border with Mexico. Since Presidents don't build walls, and there is a lengthy process of obtaining the right of way on private property not to mention finding the money - which would be the domain of the legislative branch of government, not the White House - it's not clear how or when this idiotic idea will ever come to fruition. A second order boosts border patrol forces and increases the number of immigration enforcement officers who carry out deportations.
Despite the actions of the Trump administration, Pena Nieto did not cancel or postpone his trip to Washington to meet Trump, scheduled for 31 January.
