Senate President Scott Ryan is banning Pauline Hanson's chief of staff James Ashby from entering the Parliament building after an altercation with an ex-One Nation rival.

Senator Brian Burston, who quit One Nation last year after a personality clash with Ms. Hanson, has also reported the incident to the Australian Federal Police and is requesting a restraining order against Ashby.  The two got into some sort of shoving match after Burston accused Hanson of sexual harassment, which she denies.  Burston confirmed that blood seen on Hanson's door was his.

"Whilst I do not recall the incident of blood on the door, I now have come to the conclusion that it was myself, and I sincerely apologise for that action," he told the Senate.

A video and photo of the confrontation is making the rounds, but Burston says they do not tel the entire story.
