In one of his three victory speeches delivered in the wee hours of Friday morning, right-wing UKIP leader Nigel Farage boasted that UK voters chose to leave the European Union "without a single bullet being fired".  Which might come as a surprise to the family of a murdered MP.

Casting himself as a hero who fought "lies, corruption and deceit", Mr. Farage claimed, "And we will have done it without having to fight, without a single bullet being fired, we'd have done it by damned hard work on the ground."

The wide-mouthed upper class git said this a week after an unhinged right-winger screaming "Britain first" - a slogan of one wing of the "Leave" campaign - shot and mortally wounded Labour Party MP Jo Cox as she greeted constituents in her home district of Batley and Spen in West Yorkshire.  The beloved 41-year old died in hospital, survived by her husband and two young children.

Thomas Mair is charged with killing Jo Cox.  His trial is expected to begin in the northern hemisphere Autum.
