US Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has canceled a fundraising swing through California after she appeared shaky on her feet on Sunday and her doctor later revealed she was diagnosed with pneumonia days earlier.

The former First Lady, US Senator, and Secretary of State had to bow out of a 9/11 memorial at Ground Zero in New York City on a hot, very muggy morning - wearing a black pantsuit.  A parasite with a video had stalked her on the walk all the way to her motorcade, where she appeared to stumble while being helped into the vehicle.  This fed the conspiracy theory being pushed by Hillary's Republican rival and fascist demagogue Donald Trump who claims she is hiding some unidentified but devastating health secret.  Later on Sunday, Hillary's personal physician Dr. Lisa Bardack revealed the truth is boring and run of the mill:

"Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies.  On Friday, during follow-up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia," said Dr. Bardack.  "She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule," she added.  Hillary's no different than millions of other working women throughout the world and tried to power through the illness.  By late Sunday afternoon, the candidate decided to heed her doctor's advice and cancelled a fundraising and campaign trip in California.

The reasonable explanation was needed, because the conservative US corporate media flew into embarrassing histrionics over what many reporters felt was going to finally be the "big scoop" that's going to "bring down" the Clintons, a dream of many a biased journalist.  CNN's fuzzy main newsreader Wolf Blitzer was criticized for playing video of the stumble nearly 40 times in ten minutes of awful, mansplaining programming based on speculation about things that Trump had pulled out of his arse. 

And a funny thing happened, most of the breathless coverage failed to mention that US presidents - male - twice in recent history experienced the same episode as Hillary, which doctors called a "near syncope" (almost fainting).  George W. Bush fainted in the White House while choking on a pretzel in 2002, and his father George H.W. Bush barfed on the Prime Minister of Japan in 1992.  Even alpha-dog total he-men like US Air Force General Jim Martin had a full syncope at a press briefing this year, and General David Petraeus passed out in a Senate hearing in 2010.  Yet, the corporate media didn't report on these incidents as if the subjects were about to die and was unfit to do their jobs.  The blatant misogyny wasn't lost on doctors who deal with this stuff all of the time.

And what of the opportunist Donald Trump, who has been pushing conspiracy theories about Hillary's Health?  Well, he claimed to be unfit for military service and obtained a medical deferment to avoid serving during the Vietnam War, but claims to be in perfect health now with the certification of an ass-clown doctor who misrepresented his qualifications.
