Apple is refusing to offer funding or technology to support the upcoming US Republican Party national convention due to presumptive presidential nominee and fascist demagogue Donald Trump's bigoted attitudes toward immigrants, minorities, and women.

Before this, HP was one of the few tech giants to have refused support to the GOP.  But it signals a growing divide between the Republicans, because of Trump.  Facebook, Google, and Microsoft have so far said that they'll support the convention, but in smaller dollars amounts than i years past, and their leaders are lously opposing Trump's views.  Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, like most other tech bosses, is vehemently opposed to Trump's approach to immigration because the tech giants of San Francisco and Silicon Valley recruit on an international scale.

ForApple, it goes even deeper:  Trump is a denier of climate change science, claiming that global warming is a "scam" invented by the Chinese;  Apple is making a big pro-environment push, and bragging about the progress it has made.  Trump's views on LGBT rights and marriage equality have been all over the board, but he has openly opposed Gay Marriage Rights;  Apple has long embraced the LGBT community and has a gay CEO.  Trump has also threatened Apple in his campaiagn speeches, vowing to force Apple to build products in the US (albeit without explaining how).

Last week, Bloomberg Politics reported that JPMorgan Chase and Ford Motor would not sponsor the convention.
