A French businessman is suing the ride-hailing company Uber for tipping off his wife about his extra-marital affair.

The plaintiff says he once (sleazily) used his wife's phone to get a ride to his girlfriend's home.  He says he logged off, but the Uber app continued to send notifications to her iPhone afterwards.  The wife started to wonder what all those notifications were about, investigated, and found out her husband was philandering rat.  They've since divorced.

"My client was the victim of a bug in an application," said the plaintiff's lawyer David-Andre Darmon.  "The bug has caused him problems in his private life," he added.  Mr. Darmon would not confirm reports that his client was seeking 45 Million Euros from Uber.

The glitch affected iPhones before a software update in December, the newspaper Le Figaro reported.  Android phones did not appear to be affected.
