DB Schenker Australia has opened a massive new facility in Hoxton, New South Wales.  The company's 25th facility is big - nearly eight football fields, with 50,000 square meters internal area and 15,000 square meters external under-cover area.

Hoxton Park is a multi-client facility for consumer electronics, FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), and fashion/retail customers.  It is located close to major highways, including the M7, M4 and M5, and has access to the Sydney metro and national network.

"Hoxton Park is the newest and largest contract logistics facility for DB Schenker in Australia.  Our staff will provide for our customers first class logistics services in this well positioned facility right on the Sydney freeway network.  We will also utilise the facility as a hub for our domestic transport network," said DB Schenker's Ron Koehler, chief executive officer Australia and New Zealand.  "For our FCL container movements we will be able to move containers cost effectively to Hoxton Park for timely distribution to our customers in Sydney," he added.

Koehler says the company will use the facility as a hub for domestic transport network, and to move full container load movements cost effectively to Hoxton Park for distribution to Sydney customers.
