The Australian logistics technology company FreightExchange is being honored with a "Gold Stevie Award" for its innovative supply-chain management processes that help businesses manage all their freight in one software application.

The International Business Awards, known as "Stevies", are an international business award created 14 years ago to recognize accomplishments and contributions of companies and business people worldwide.  Companies are nominated from 60 nations and territories, and judged by more than 200 business people forming twelve juries.

FreightExchange won in the Tech Start-up of the Year category.  The company impressed the judges with its growth and the idea of connecting enterprises to reduce waste in the industry.  "With their everyone-wins philosophy, FreightExchange is a disruptive force in freight handling," said the judging panel as quoted by Logistics Magazine.

"The FreightExchange team and I continuously strive for excellence at every opportunity and we all have such a passion for the industry," said FreightExchange co-foudner Cate Hull.  "Believing that the concept of inexhaustible resources in business is destructive and that the sharing economy is a key opportunity for us to move towards a more viable future globally," she added.
