Police in Germany are looking for some thieves who make really, really questionable dietary choices.  Perhaps they need to keep an eye out for criminals with expanding waistlines, who never sleep?

This time, they made off with a truckload of the yummy spread Nutella.  Seven palettes loaded with jars of the chocolate and hazelnut concoction were packed into a parked semi-trailer in the central city of Hesse.  Sometime over the weekend, that trailer disappeared.  Police say the haul is worth more than A$20,000.

It’s not the first food theft in Hesse, which is a shipping center located right in the middle of the country.  Last month, they made off with 30,000 pounds of coffee.  And last August, thieves stole 34,000 cans of energy drinks.

If a trailer full of crusty bread disappears in the same areas, at least police will know the thieves’ motives..
