Melania Trump, wife of the orange clown Donald Trump, visited a facility in Texas where children ripped from their undocumented asylum seeker parents are held, and promptly sent weird, mixed messages.  At the facility, she asked the staff, "How I can help.. these children to reunite with their families as quickly as possible?"  But she also wore a designer coat with the prominently-displayed slogan, "I really don't care, do U?"
Left - Zara; Right - Melania
The coat came from Zara, the same clothing designer that was criticized in 2014 for a child's t-shirt that resembled the prison garb Jews were forced to wear in nazi death camps, and in 2007 for a purse that featured an embroidered swastika.

So, what the HELL was Melania's jacket supposed to mean?  And who approved her wardrobe?  Mrs. Trump's spokesperson denied there are any hidden message, and the White House denied it was a message for her husband.  Any way, it's just another bad step in the crisis that Trump himself created, lied about, and lied about solving.  There is still no plan to end the family separations nor to reunite the 2,600 or more kids who were already kidnapped with their asylum-seeking parents.

US Defense Secretary James Mattis says there's no evidence that North Korea is starting to get rid of its nuclear program.  "The detailed negotiations have not begun," following the orange clown Donald Trump's ridiculous summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, "I wouldn't expect that at this point."  Those follow-up negotiations have not even been scheduled yet, and when pressed for details, US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor John Bolton couldn't give a hint at when they'd start.

Israeli prosecutors charged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's wife Sara with misuse of state funds, alleging she spent about AU$135,000 on expensive restaurant meals, private catering, and cooks for her family, all while trying to hide the expenditures.  Her lawyers called the charged "delusional" while Netanyahu angrily lashed out at prosecutors for a supposed "witch hunt".

The European Union says no northern African nation has taken up its idea to host an immigration processing center, which would in theory take the pressure off of southern European countries as migrants would stay in Africa to do their paperwork before being allowed to cross the sea.  "We have neither the capacity nor the means to organize these detention centers," said Tunisian Ambassador Tahar Cherif (omg, Cherif don't like it?), noting that his Casba--I mean, his country is under pressure from the chaos in neighboring Libya just as is southern Europe.

The lack of a solution to Europe's problem with hundreds of thousands of refugees who showed up in the last few years is threatening to collapse Germany's government.  The conservative faction of Chancellor Angela Merkel's coalition is threatening to quit unless something is done to stop the flow.  EU ministers will meet in Brussels for an emergency meeting on Sunday to try to find a way to shore up Merkel's government, seen as a bulwark against right-wing, anti-immigration "populism".

Whistleblowers claim that aid workers with Medecins Sans Frontiers used local prostitutes while working in Africa.  The female former MSF workers told the BBC that the practice was widespread.  MSF says it does not tolerate "abuse, harassment or exploitation", and the use of prostitutes is banned under its strict code of conduct.

A South Korean court has ruled the killing of dogs for meat is illegal, which could serve to hasten a major cultural and culinary shift in the country once known for Kaegogi, or barbecued dog.  The ruling will put pressure on dog farms to knock it the hell off.  About 70 percent of South Koreans say they do not eat dogs, and 40 percent say the practice should be banned.

New Zealand PM Jacinta Arden gave birth to a baby girl, making her only the second female leader in modern history to deliver a little bundle of joy while in office.  Arriving at a public hospital in her own car - not a private limo - she intends to take six weeks of maternity leave while Deputy PM Winston Peters handles the day to day stuff.
