Good Morning Australia!! - The US mail bombs were "absolutely terrorism," says the FBI - America's top spy reportedly hears the Khashoggi evidence - Blackface is never 'okay', a TV host learns - And more in your CareerSpot Global News:

The FBI is now officially classifying the attempted mail bombings of two ex-Presidents, CNN, and other Democratic Party political figures and allies (who have been vilified by Donald Trump through months of hateful comments and incendiary rhetoric at his political rallies in far-flung rural areas) as terrorism.  Authorities have intercepted three more package bombs: Two were sent to former Vice President Joe Biden, although they were mislabeled and were caught at Post Offices before getting anywhere near him.  The third was sent to actor Robert De Niro, who has been a vocal critic of Trump, and who has traded verbal barbs with him.  All ten packages have been collected and sent to the FBI laboratory at Quantico, VA for further examination.  CNN reported that investigators believe at least some of them came from Florida.  Officials warn that there could be more bombs yet undiscovered.

Instead of unifying the American people, Donald Trump has attempted to gaslight the media and blamed it for the "divisions" that led to the package bomb murder attempts on Barack Obama, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, George Soros, Robert De Niro, former Attorney General Eric Holder, and sitting US Reps. Maxine Waters and Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  On Twitter Trump threatened "the mainstream media must clean up its act fast"; this was just twelve hours after he read pleas for unity off of a teleprompter.  Trump also has not reached out to former President Obama, Secretary Clinton, or any of the targets.

If it's Friday, Saudi Arabia must have changed its story on the murder of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.  Saudi Arabia's public prosecutor is now  quoted as saying it was "premeditated".  Khashoggi walked into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on 3 October to sign some papers, and was murdered inside.  The Saudis at first said he left the building on his own, then admitted he died, then claimed he was killed in a fight with 15 younger men, and then said he was killed by being put in a choke hold.  Turkish investigators say the 15 member Saudi hit team tortured and dismembered Khashoggi over a grueling seven minute atrocity.  American CIA chief Gina Haspell has reportedly listened to audio recordings that Turkey claims capture the murder.

US TV host Megyn Kelly is reportedly out of a job at NBC's Today show after saying she didn't understand why wearing blackface on Halloween is racist.  The former Fox News host who tried to go mainstream did apologize, but her African-American co-workers lambasted her on air, and NBC News president Andrew Lack reportedly criticized her in a company-wide meeting on the matter.  She will reportedly be paid the remainder of her US$69 Million contract.

Flash flooding in Jordan swept away a school bus, killing at least 17 of the 37 people on board.  The bus was carrying students from a private school to a hot springs resort area.

Victims of Chile's most infamous pedophile priest filed a criminal complaint against a key advisor to Pope Francis.  They say that Cardinal Javier Errazuriz committed perjury and was an active part of the Church's cover-up of clergy sexual abuse.  More than 30 Chilean Roman Catholic Church officials have offered their resignations in the scandal; Francis has accepted eight of them so far, and defrocked the pedophile priest at the heart of the cover-up, Fernando Karadima.

Ethiopia's parliament has elected the country's first female president.  Sahle-Work Zewde is also Africa's only female head of state.  A week ago, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed appointed a cabinet with half the posts taken up by women.  President Sahle-Work promised to work hard to make gender equality a reality in Ethiopia.

South Africa is the latest government to dump the tampon tax.  Finance Minister Tito Mboweni also promised additional funds to ensure female students have access to sanitary products.  In some provinces they are already free for all female students; but in rural areas of South Africa, girls have had to leave school because of the high cost of the pads.
