Good Morning Australia!! - Maybe today is finally, finally Trump's last stand - Serious questions linger over the sincerity of Russia's Aleppo ceasefire - Malaysia's "stupid" war on Hot Dogs - Baby Rhino Alert! - And more in your CareerSpot Global News Briefs:

The last debate of the three-ring circus that is this year's US Presidential campaign takes place in Las Vegas later today.  It promises to be a real crap show, as moderator Chris Wallace of Murdoch's Fox "News" has said it's not his job to fact-check the candidates.  Given that chief clown Donald Trump is known for telling a lie every few minutes, this ought to be interesting.  Trump is attempting to rattle Democratic Presidential (and we do mean "Presidential") nominee Hillary Clinton by seating a sideshow gallery in the front row of his supporters:  There will probably be some women who accuse former President Bill Clinton of sexual abuse, but he's not running; neither is President Barack Obama, but Trump is bringing his Kenyan half-brother Malik Obama for some reason.  Probably in response to the US President telling Trump to "stop whining" and "making excuses" for what will hopefully by his loss at the polls in November.  Anyway, it'll all be over soon enough.

Czech police acted on a tip from the US FBI and arrested a Russian hacker in a hotel in central Prague.  The arrest drew attention because of the ongoing hacks of major US political institutions, believed to be the work of the Kremlin.  But US security officials said the arrest is not linked to the cyber intrusions of top Democratic Party officials who are currently beating Moscow's boy toy Donald Trump; they later linked it to teh 2012 hack at the executive social media site LinkedIn.

Russia and Syria are about to call an eleven hour halt on Thursday to their bombing campaign in the rebel-held city of Aleppo.  But doubts have already been raised about the value of t. The U.N. said it needs this:  The United Nations says it needs at least 48 hours to get relief aid to besieged civilians, and this is echoed by the medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres; and the US is suggesting the pause may be "too little, too late".  Middle East Analyst Firas Abi Ali of HIS Country Risk says, "This is Russia paving the way for the use of even more lethal force against Aleppo because it can claim that it gave civilians and moderates the chance to leave the city."

The charity Save The Children says more than 5,000 Iraqi civilians have fled Mosul and poured across the border to the filthy and overcrowded al-Hol refugee camp in Syria.  As many as 1.5 million civilians could still be trapped with 5,000 Islamic State fighters in Iraq's second largest city as government troops close in from the south and Kurdish Pershmerga forces lock down the north.

The architect of the ouster of Brazil's democratically-elected former President Dilma Rousseff has himself been arrested.  Former house speaker and Federal Deputy Eduardo Cunha - who until recently was a key ally of new, unelected President Michel Temer - is accused of corruption, money laundering and tax evasion.  And that's unlike Ms. Rousseff, who was thrown out of office over budgetary irregularities and never accused of any actual crime.  And Brazil let it happen anyway.  SMDH.

Argentinians marched in the capital of Buenos Aires to condemn violence against women.  Under the social media banner "Black Wednesday", protesters planned the action after this month's rape and killing of a 16-year-old girl, Lucia Perez; two men are accused of drugging, assaulting, and impaling her in a horrific crime in the coastal city of Mar del Plata.  Support demonstrations took place in cities throughout Latin America.

Scientists fear the European Schiaparelli Mars lander has been lost while attempting to land on the red planet.  The tracking signal cut out less than a minute before it was to touch down.  The US NASA tried to help the European Space Agency by having one of its satellites send a signal to the Schiaparelli, to no avail.

German cops arrested a 49-year old far-right gunman who shot and wounded four police officers who tried to confiscate his guns, which he did not have a permit to possess.  The moron belongs to the anti-Semitic "Reichsbuerger" movement, which police say is comprised of "whingers, nutcases, conspiracy theorists, but also the far-right".  The usual mob of imbeciles.

Wild video from the Philippines, where a police van rammed into a crowd of violent anti-American demonstrators outside the US embassy in Manilla.  Several people were left bloodied and injured.  It comes at a touchy time, as President Rodrigo Duterte is questioning long-standing ties with the US because Washington is criticizing his gruesome drug war that has seen thousands and thousands of civilians killed by cops or vigilante mobs, all without a trial.

Malaysia's official Islamic government agency is telling stores and restaurants to rename those wonderful, wonderful sausages known as "Hot Dogs" - because dogs are considered unclean in the religion (What?  Just because they constantly lick their balls and butts, drink out of toilets, and then try to kiss you?).  Businesses that don't do it risk losing their Halal certification.  Malaysian Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Aziz slammed the ruling, calling it "stupid and backward".
