Good Morning Australia!! - North Korea is beefing up its nuclear program, despite Trump's claims - The worst-ever US President will get a chance to shape the country for decades - The former PM of Malaysia was quite the hoarder! - And more in your CareerSpot Global News Briefs:

Unfortunately, more stupid America news.  Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement, giving the orange clown Donald Trump the chance to replace with a far-right jurist and lock-in a five-to-four majority for whatever horrors the right wing wants to commit against the people of the United States and the world.  Originally appointed by Ronald Reagan, Kennedy (no relation to the Massachusetts political family) has been seen as a center-right vote although he was part of majority in this week's anti-immigrant, anti-worker rulings.

Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell - who infamously subverted the US Constitution to then-President Barack Obama from filling a Supreme Court vacancy - says he will hold quick hearings and fill the Kennedy Vacancy before the midterm election.  Democrats are calling him out on that for the flagrant double standard.  "We're now four months away from an election to determine the party that will control the Senate," said California Senator Dianne Feinstein, "There should be no consideration of a Supreme Court nominee until the American people have a chance to weigh in.  Leader McConnell set that standard in 2016," she continued, "And the Senate should follow the McConnell Standard."

The orange clown agreed to a face-to-arse summit with Russian president Vladimir Putin.  Or maybe Putin's just going to conduct an employee review?  Anyway, the date and location haven't been set, although the White House is hinting at after next month's NATO summit and possibly in Helsinki, Finland.  The clown told reporters he would discuss the war in Syria and the situation in Ukraine with his Russian boss.

And what of the clown's other "great" summit, with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un?  The moron declared that the North Korean regime no longer poses a nuclear threat, even though the meeting produced no verifiable proof that North Korea will discontinue its nuclear program.  But new satellite imagery shows that North Korea is making rapid improvements and adding buildings to the Yongbyon Nuclear Scientific Research Center, which produces weapons-grade fissile material.  Trump has repeatedly lied about the agreement he signed with Kim, but one thing is undeniable:  There is absolutely no mechanism to observe or verify North Korea's nuclear program in it.  And thus, the Yongbyon and other secret facilities can and apparently will continue to produce materials for nuclear weapons.

Malaysian authorities recovered $370 Million worth of cash and luxury goods from the raids against former prime minister Najib Razak's homes and offices last month.  Najib and his wife are forbidden to leave the country as investigators probe the malfeasance at Malaysia's 1MDB fund, where at least a billion dollars disappeared and allegedly made its way into Najib's personal bank accounts.  The seized cash totaled $39.2 Million, while jewelry accounted for almost $300 Million of the haul.  Najib and his wife claim they are innocent.

The migrant rescue ship Lifeline has docked in Malta after five days stranded at sea while European nations about which would take the 230 migrants rescuers had pulled from the Mediterranean Sea.  In the end, Malta, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, and Portugal each stepped up to take a share of those on board.  EU leaders will meet again on the immigration issue on Thursday and Friday.  European Council President Donald Tusk will urge them to agree to "regional disembarkation platforms" outside of Europe, a dedicated EU budget for migration control, and more co-operation with the Libyan coastguard.

Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa is blaming last weekend's bombing at his campaign rally on a faction loyal to deposed former first lady Grace Mugabe.  Two people died and more than 40 were hurt in the attack.  Mnangagwa plans to go ahead with scheduled national elections on 30 July despite the attack.
