Good Morning Australia!! - Too little, too late from Trump - A major business leader bails out of a Trump council - nazis lose their jobs and websites because of Charlottesville - And more in your CareerSpot Global News Briefs:

After waiting two days after a neo-nazi rammed his car into a crown of peaceful anti-racist counter protesters and killed a woman, Donald Trump finally read a statement condemning the racist violence at the "Unite the Right" rally of white nationalist groups in the left-wing college town of Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend.  "Racism is evil and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs," Trump said with all of the heartfelt sincerity of a hostage video.  "We condemn this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence," he added, "It has no place in America."  But this came after the universally-panned failure on Saturday during which Trump dared to criticize "the egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides" - without directly condemning white supremacists.  Only one side brought weapons and the intent to carry out physical attacks.

The mother of the murdered woman, 32-year old Heather Hayer, thanked Trump for his "words of comfort and for denouncing those who promote violence and hatred".  But the fact that this came two days after the racist violence is not sitting well across America, and many are not likely to forgive and forget.  Civil rights activist the reverend Al Sharpton criticized Trump for the delay:  "We had the head of state of Germany speak before we had the president of this country," he told MSNBC.  "His silence spoke volumes to people.  It was too little, too late."

But Trump waited only minutes to criticize the African-American CEO of Merck Pharmaceuticals for pulling out of the White House Manufacturing Council on Monday morning because of the events and the reaction to the events in Charlottesville.  Kenneth C. Frazier tweeted, "America's leaders must honor our fundamental values by clearly rejecting expressions of hatred, bigotry and group supremacy, which run counter to the American ideal that all people are created equal."
Merck Statement
Soon after, Trump responded with a typical petty, cheap shot:  "Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President's Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!"  Not that drug prices shouldn't come down, but it's unrelated.  All this happened hours before the orange clown feigned his condemnation of racists.

The Tiki Products company did a better job of disassociating itself from the racist violence in Charlottesville than Trump did, and it did it faster.  After Friday night's disgusting torchlight rally of young alt-right "men" on the University of Virginia campus, Tiki released a statement reading:  "We do not support their message or the use of our products in this way.  Our products are designed to enhance backyard gatherings and to help family and friends connect with each other at home in their yard."  So that's the world right now:  The Chancellor of Germany, a pharmaceutical CEO, and a company that makes kitschy backyard party favors condemned racist violence more effectively than the current occupant of the White House.

Back in Charlottesville, a judge denied bail for 20-year old nazi scum James Alex Fields who is charged with second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding, and one count of hit and run for ramming his Dodge Challenger into a crowd of peaceful protesters.  In his prison stripes, he told the court he had two employers, including the private security company Securitas, but could not afford an attorney.  Late Monday, Securitas announced it had sacked Fields.

The website that coordinated much of the "Unite the Right" rally lost two service providers today.  GoDaddy cancelled "The Daily Stormer" for posting a disgusting and disparaging story on the woman killed in the nazi terrorist attack.  Why that happened to be the bridge too far for GoDaddy isn't clear, since it hosted the racist site for months prior.  A few minutes later, Google announced it had cancelled the site's DNS when it tried to switch over.  It's not clear where if anywhere this vile nazi scum website is going to find a host.

ANYWAY....

A German court upheld a five-year Chilean prison term for a dead doctor at a notorious former nazi compound in the Andes moutains.  Helmut Haup molested children in Colonia Dignidad, which was founded by a former nazi German soldier in southern Chile in 1961.  The Pinochet dictatorship used it as a site to torture and murder government opponents.  Haup apparently had free reign to molest the children of the fortress-like compound, where residents were indoctrinated and kept as virtual slaves for more than 30 years.  He died in a Chilean prison in 2010.  Colonia Dignidad changed its name to Villa Baviera and its German-speaking residents try to eke out a living as a tourist trap featuring Bavarian foods, exhibitions, and architecture.

A giant mudslide near Freetown, Sierra Leone has killed at least 200 people.  This follows days of heavy rain.  Vice President Victor Bockarie Foh said it was "likely that hundreds are lying dead", and the number of casualties is expected to rise.

Suspected Islamist gunmen killed at least 18 people at a cafe in the Burkina Faso capital city of Ouagadougou.  President Roch Marc Christian Kabore condemned the "cowardly terror attack" in an international area of the city.  Victims included citizens of France, Canada, Kuwait, Turkey, and other Arab and African nations.

The UN World Health Organization says Yemen's cholera epidemic has now sickened 500,000 people - more than 1,500 have died.  The  waterborne disease began to spread rapidly at the end of April because the country's health and sanitation infrastructures broke down in the civil war.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in is calling on the US to help him prevent a war.  As North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and orange clown Donald Trump wave their schlongs at each other, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said: "Our top priority is the national interest of South Korea and our national interest lies in peace," adding, "I am confident that the US will respond to the current situation in a calm and responsible manner in line with our policy direction."

Animal lovers were upset after forest rangers in Italy shot and killed a 14-year-old bear female brown bear over the weekend.  Trentino Governor Ugo Rossi said the bear labelled "KJ2" attacked and mauled an elderly man walking his dog in the Alps last month.  "Anywhere in the world, when the danger rises above a certain level, the animal has to be killed to ensure people's safety," said Mr. Rossi.
