Good Morning Australia!! - How Erdogan stacked the deck to attain dictatorial powers - Trump threatens violence against a 79-year old woman - Europe can't figure a way out of its immigration crisis  - And more in your CareerSpot Global News Briefs:

Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections weren't fair, claims the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).  The observers say Turkey's media restrictions and built-in bias prevented the other candidates from getting fair, if any, coverage.  The state of emergency in place since the failed coup almost two years ago also constricted democracy, as did good old fashioned ballot stuffing and biased counting at polling places.  With only 52.5 percent of the vote, Erdogan is now able to rule by decree, reduce the powers of Parliament, and strip the courts of all independence.  Now that democracy is all but gone in this corner of Europe, it should come as no surprise that Erdogan got a hearty congratulations from Russia's Vladimir Putin, who praised Erdogan's political "power".

Spain is refusing to allow a rescue ship to dock with 230 migrants who were rescued from the Mediterranean Sea, after Italy and Malta also barred the ship.  Economic Development Minister Jose Luis Abalos said his country could not "become the sea rescue organization for all of Europe".  Spain already stepped up once when Italy's far-right government refused another immigrant ship, the MV Aquarius, in recent weeks.  The German NGO Mission Lifeline, which operates the current ship in limbo, says the situation on board is deteriorating in terms of provisions and sanitation.  And on top of all this, the Dutch freighter Alexander Maersk is waiting off Sicily with 108 other rescued migrants, with Italy refusing docking rights.

A senior manager at one of the orange clown Donald Trump's immigrant detention camps said the policy of taking children away from asylum-seeking parents at the US' southern border was "a dumb, stupid decision," and "all it did was harm children."  The manager did not want to be identified as he led journalists through a special, highly-supervised media tour of the facility in Tornillo, near El Paso, Texas.  Despite the clown's executive order last week, the US government says it only has "plans" to reunite the 2,000+ children ripped from their parents arms.

Trump threatened 79-year old African-American California Congresswoman Maxine Waters in a tweet, telling her to "careful what you wish for".  Ms. Waters rallied supporters to continue to confront Trump administration officials over their terrible, racist, and harmful policies when they show up in restaurants - as happened three times in the past week or so - "until they decide that they're going to tell the President, 'no I can't hang with you'."  In an act of unadulterated but typical evil, Trump lied and claimed Waters "just called for harm" to his supporters, and made his illegal threat which is also against Twitter's terms of use.  Trump has threatened violence against political opponents before.  Corporate Democratic leaders condemned Waters as well, pretending to take the "high road" that led them into the current abyss.

The moron rage-tweeted against the restaurant that kicked our his spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders over the weekend.  The owners of the Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia said they had to take a stand against the lies and hate-filled policies spilling from the White House.  Trump lied in his tweet, and claimed the eatery was "filthy", when in reality local restaurant inspectors found that it passed health and safety tests with flying colors.  In reality, Trump's petty and bitter tweet probably won't have any consequences, because conservative boycotts don't work - just ask Starbucks, McDonald's, and Disneyworld, which were all targeted by indignant right-wing boycotts.

Trump's own restaurants are another story, and appear to be great places to get food poisoning and all of its stinky gastro complications.  The Associated Press found the orange clown's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida was cited 78 times over three years for health code violations including cooking staff not washing their hands and the "accumulation of black/green mold-like substance" on kitchen appliances.  In April, Washington DC inspectors visited the Trump International Hotel and found 10 health-code violations, including raw meat stored above ready-to-eat foods in the main kitchen and at the steakhouse, and containers of flour stored next to a hand sink that lacked a splash guard.  But this has been going on at Trump-branded restaurants for years.

Mexican authorities arrested all 28 members of the police force in Ocampo, after the murder of center-left mayoral candidate Fernando Angeles Juarez.  Mexico is gearing up for a general election scheduled for 1 July, but political violence is growing alongside the usual drug cartel wars, making the 2018 election campaign the bloodiest in Mexico's modern history.  At least 18 election candidates for various posts have been killed so far.

Rescuers are searching for 12 members of a youth football team believed to be trapped in a cave in northern Thailand.  Tham Luang Nang Non cave in Chiang Rai province is a regional tourist attraction, and authorities believe the boys, aged between 11 and 16, and their coach entered on Sunday, only to be cut off by the flash flood of a stream at the entrance.  They're working under the assumption the boys are still alive.

Just another day in Australia!
