The US Department of Justice is protesting a decision by House Democrats to begin contempt proceedings against Attorney General William Barr as early as Wednesday.
Washington, DC/Last Week
After Barr's infuriating stonewalling last week, Democrats are intent on slamming him with a contempt citation unless Barr provides the full, uncensored report from Robert Mueller about Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and Russia's attempt to influence the election - with supporting evidence.  Barr claimed that he knew of no objection from the Mueller team over his blatantly pro-Trump characterization of the report - that was proven to be a lie late last week when the Mueller camp revealed it had complained four times about Barr's "summary".
