A new poll says Australians don't like or trust the orange clown Donald Trump, and good on them.  The latest Lowy Institute poll shows found Australians' trust in the US to act responsibly in the world dropped from a peak of 83 percent in 2011 to just 55 percent this year, with more Aussies placing their faith in Japan, the UK, France, and India.  That peak occurred during the Barack Obama presidency.  But now with Trump's lying, racism, incompetence, and back-stabbing of America's closest allies, the Lowy Poll says 42 percent of Australians believe the presidency of the orange anus Trump is a "critical threat" to "Australia's vital interests".

Malaysia will charge former prime minister Najib Razak with embezzlement and bribery in the 1MDB scandal.  A US investigation found that almost a billion dollars of looted money wound up in Najib's personal bank accounts, while Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said his investigators already "have an almost perfect case" against the principal suspects.

Mediators have walked away from Nicaragua's peace talks, blaming the government for failing to come to some sort of accord with the opposition.  At least 180 people have been killed in political violence since April.  Roman Catholic bishops have been moderating the talks, but walked out with the opposition when the government appeared to stall on a promise to bring in unbiased third party investigators to look into Nicaragua's political and human rights degradation.  Eyebrows were already raised when Leftist President Daniel Ortega won a questionable election in which his wife became vice president; things boiled over when he announced plans to cut pensions while increasing worker pay-ins.

The Italian interior minister's call to perform a census on and expel the Roma has caused the first major rift in the country's coalition.  Matteo Salvini of the fascist League Party asked officials to "prepare a dossier on the Roma question in Italy", after shutting the doors on boatloads of immigrants rescued from the Mediterranean Sea.  His fellow deputy prime minister and leader of the majority Five Star party, Luigi di Maio, rebuked Salvini and made it clear that such a census was unconstitutional.  Italian courts had previously blocked right-wing attempts to conduct ethnic censuses of the Roma, and former Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni tweeted: "Refugees yesterday, Roma today, tomorrow guns for all.  How exhausting it is being bad."  Jewish groups and Roma rights groups condemned the ugly, nazi overtones of Salvini's rotten proposal.

A top EU court is ordering French nationalist leader Marine Le Pen to repay 300,000 Euros she used to pay a political assistant in Paris to do party political work for her racist, xenophobic Front National.  The General Court of the European Union rejected Le Pen's bid to throw out a lower court ruling, noting that Le Pen provided no evidence "of any activity whatsoever on the part of the parliamentary assistant that comes under parliamentary assistance".  Le Pen was an European MP from 2009 to 2017 and lost the French presidential election two years ago.

A Syrian immigrant has admitted to an anti-Semitic attack in Berlin that shocked Germany and Europe.  The 19-year-old man was caught on video using his belt to lash out at a man wearing a Jewish skullcap known as a yamulke or kippah.  The suspect said he was zonked on drugs at teh time and living out of his suitcase at refugee halls - the victim isn't even Jewish, but an Israeli Arab who donned the headgear to find out about anti-Semitism in Europe.  'Guess he found out.

Reich-wing rich kid and soldier of fortune cosplayer extraordinaire Erik Prince says he is cooperating with US Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller's probe into Russian influence over the 2016 elections.  "I have spoken voluntarily to Congress and I also cooperated with the special counsel," said the born-millionaire and founder of the mercenary group Blackwater which caused so much trouble during the Iraq War.  Prince insists that his efforts to set up a back channel between the Trump transition team and the Russian government during a clandestine meeting in the Seychelles were completely legal and ethical.

The US military has kicked out a graduate of the prestigious West Point military academy after he uploaded photos of himself wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt and holding a cap with the slogan "Communism Will Win".
Viva Che!
It is illegal for the military to discharge someone based on their political beliefs, so we'll see how that works out.  26-year old Spencer Rapone is an Afghanistan war vet, but will likely be forbidden from receiving veteran's benefits.  He's scheduled to speak at the Socialism 2018 conference in Chicago next month.
Viva Che!
Yeah, that's him.
