Good Morning Australia!! - Turkey demands the Saudis extradite the Khashoggi murder suspects - Someone left a bomb for George Soros - Some people make lousy role models - And more in your CareerSpot Global News Briefs:

The murder of dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the saudi consulate in Istanbul was "savagely planned" by the Saudi Arabian government, alleges Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan - who called on Riyadh to extradite the suspects:  "My proposal to the Saudis is that the 15 plus three - 18 - people who were arrested should be tried on our soil, in Istanbul."  Erdogan's much-hyped address to the Turkish Parliament laid out the timeline of Khashoggi's ill-fated visit to the consulate on 3 October, but did not mention his investigator's purported audio and video recordings proving the murder, nor did Erdogan present any actual evidence.

The dismembered remains of Jamal Khashoggi have reportedly been located in the garden of the Saudi consul general's Istanbul home - just 500 meters away from the consulate where he was killed.  Sky News is reporting that the body had been "cut up" and his face "disfigured".  This contradicts the latest in a series of changing stories from the Saudis, which posits that Khashoggi was killed after being put in a chokehold.  The Turkish investigators have claimed that their as-yet unreleased audio and video evidence shows the prominent critic of Saudi Crown prince Muhammad bin Salman (MBS) was tortured and dismembered alive.

A new report accuses both Hamas and the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority of using wrongful arrests and torture to control and intimidate peace protesters and opposition.  Human Rights Watch interviewed former detainees and alleges the rival factions have "established machineries of repression to crush dissent".  The PA and Hamas deny the allegations.

The caravan of Central American migrants walking to the US southern border with Mexico paused to remember a marcher who was killed in a road mishap.  Thousands of migrants are still a thousand miles away from the US, getting donations from the Mexican villages they pass; but between the sun-baked days and chilly nights, many are developing respiratory problems and it is doubtful that the vast majority will make it to the US, where they will be turned back by the border patrol.  These caravans have been happening frequently in recent years, but have only gained attention because Donald Trump has turned them into a campaign issue, spreading lies about them such as infiltration by criminal gangs and unspecified "Middle Easterners".

Police in Westchester County, New York State removed and disposed of a bomb placed near the mailbox outside the home belonging to billionaire financier George Soros, named by the far-right and anti-Semites as the bogeyman behind any number of ridiculous conspiracy theories.  Soros, an elderly holocaust survivor, was not injured.  The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Explosives are investigating.  Donald Trump this week baselessly claimed to his political base that Soros was funding the Caravan of Central American immigrants heading towards the US.

A US airline passenger groped a female fellow passenger, telling police that he was entitled because Donald Trump said it was "okay" to grab women without their permission.  He groped a breasts of a woman sitting in front of him; he is now charged with "abusive sexual contact", and facing a two year prison term and a US$125,000 fine.  An audio recording made in 2005 that surfaced during the 2016 presidential campaign featured Trump bragging to TV host Billy Bush that "you can do anything" to women and "grab them by the pussy" because of his celebrity status.

US television host Megyn Kelly is under fire for questioning whether white people going in blackface is racist (it is, btw).  In a discussion about Halloween costumes on her eponymous NBC show she said, "Back when I was a kid, that was okay just as long as you were dressing as a character," which isn't at all true unless she was a kid prior to 1920.  This isn't the first time she's stepped on America's racial third rail; in a previous incarnation as a Fox News host, Kelly declared that Santa Claus and Jesus are white.  One is imaginary and based on a saint from what is now Turkey, and the other was a Middle Eastern Socialist.

UPDATE:  Megyn Kelly apologized:  "One of the wonderful things about my job is that I get the chance to express and hear a lot of opinions," she wrote in an internal email to her NBC colleagues.  "Today is one of those days where listening carefully to other points of view, including from friends and colleagues, is leading me to rethink my own views."
