Federal Greens MP Adam Bandt compared Immigration Minister Peter Dutton to a "terrorist" at a giant rally in Melbourne protesting against the Federal Government's treatment of men who remain in the detention on Manus Island.  "If the definition of terror is to use violence and threaten people's lives for political purposes, then Peter Dutton is a terrorist," Mr. Bandt said.  "To look at the face of Peter Dutton is to stare into the eyes of someone who is prepared to kill people for political gain, and it's time he was held to account for this crime against humanity."  Dutton later responded, "I think that says more about Mr Bandt and the Greens than it does about me.  The Australian Government has stopped deaths at sea.  We've got every child out of detention."

Houthi rebels from Yemen claim responsibility for the missile attack on Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which backs the absent Yemeni government against them.  A rebel spokesman said they launched a Burkan 2-H missile - a SCUD-like missile with a range of more than 800 kilometers - from their territory in Yemen towards Riyadh late on Saturday.  Smoke was seen rising from an area near Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, but Saudi officials maintain their missile defense system kicked in and intercepted the incoming rocket - no one was injured.  "The Saudis started the war," the spokesman said, "Our response will continue and increase, whether it's targeting deep inside Saudi Arabia, targeting military positions where Saudi jets fly from or military bases inside Yemeni territory."

The Prime Minister of Lebanon was in Riyadh, where he announced his resignation on a telecast from the foreign nation.  Saad al-Hariri claimed he was the target of an assassination plot led from Iran:  "We are living in a climate similar to the atmosphere that prevailed before the assassination of the martyr Rafik al-Hariri," he said, referring to his father Rafik al-Hariri, who was twice PM and was assassinated in 2004.  Hariri did not elaborate on the alleged plot.  The latest crisis appears to be part of the standard regional tension:  Hariri and Saudi Arabia are Sunni Muslim, Iran and Hezbollah - whch dominates much of Lebanon's politics - are Shiite.

El Kalimba
Martinez Miron was a semi-Robin Hood-like figure known for being a "Huachicolero" or "Chupaducto" who stole gasoline from government pipelines and sold it from plastic tanks for cut-rate prices in the mountains.
Taking it from the pipe..
..selling it from tanks
It's Mexico's second-biggest form of organized crime after drug trafficking.  Authorities say the gunmen were from a rival gas gang.
