An American police SWAT team shot tear gas and stun grenades at a 107-year old man armed with a handgun, before they finally shot him to death.

Police were called to a disturbance at a home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where Monroe Isadore had allegedly pointed a handgun at two people.  Cops announced themselves and they say that Isadore shot through the door.

They say they attempted to negotiate with the 107-year-old but were unable to persuade him to give up. They inserted a camera into the room and were able to confirm he had a handgun.

Cops decided to go in, proceeded by flash grenades and tear gas; a few minutes later, Isadore was dead with multiple bullet wounds. No police officers were hurt.
