Paris Police raided and searched the home of International Monetary Fund (IMF) head Christine Lagarde, in connection with a probe into her handling of a high-profile scandal when she was France’s Finance Minister.

Lagarde has consistently denied any wrongdoing in the case.

In 2007, she ordered a panel of judges to arbitrate a dispute between a tycoon and Credit Lyonnais.  The Tycoon, Bernard Tapie, claimed the bank undervalued the sports clothing label Adidas when he sold it in 1993.  Tapie wound up with $500 Million out of the deal.

The IMF is refusing to comment on the raid.
