Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is vowing to “exact a price” for a series of projectile attacks on Israel.  This was just hours after the latest rockets fell into an open Israeli area just outside Gaza.

An “Iron Dome” missile battery was in the area but was not activated.

Last week, two rocket attacks were directed at the southern resort city of Eirat.  Netanyahu said the earlier shooters were most likely “a terror squad that left Gaza and used Sinai territory to attack an Israeli city.”

The Israeli foreign affairs ministry says Israel and Egypt are in constant contact regarding the rocket attack.  Earlier, Egypt promised that it would not pose any threat to Israel.

The Gaza-Israel border has been largely quiet since last November when an Egyptian-brokered truce ended a deadly eight-day conflict between the Jewish state and militants of the Islamist movement Hamas.  But militants have been steadily increasing their provocations of Israel since February.
