A Greek neo-Nazi and member of the fascist “Golden Dawn” party has been arrested for the unprovoked murder of a Left-Wing rapper.   News of the cowardly 15-on-1 attack led to an outburst of demonstrations across Greece against the violent and thuggish Golden Dawn.

Outraged Greeks marched and clashed with riot cops.  Greece's Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias cancelled his scheduled trip to Rome because the killing could provide a flashpoint in a country suffering a severely strained social fabric, thanks to EU-Enforced austerity.

The brawl between the two men broke out near a cafeteria in the town of Keratsini during the Oympiakos vs Paris St. Germain Champions League match.  Mayor Loukas Tzannis says the 45-year old Golden Dawn party member led a mob of 15 men to attack 34-year old Pavlos Fyssas, known in the Greek Hip-Hop scene as “Killah P”.  Fyssas told police the name of his attacker before passing out.  He died at hospital.  The suspect reportedly confessed.

Golden Dawn has frequently been accused of violence towards left-wing activists and immigrants and is blamed for vigilante attacks.  Europe's top human rights body, the Council of Europe, has said there are grounds for Golden Dawn to be made illegal.  The Greek Socialist Party says Golden Dawn ought to officially labeled a criminal gang.
