The 15-year old daughter of Michael Jackson was rushed to a Los Angeles Hospital after what is being reported as a suicide attempt.  Conflicting stories say she either overdosed or tried to slit her wrists.

The King of Pop’s only daughter is apparently under a lot of pressure because she has to take the stand in the wrongful-death lawsuit that pits the surviving Jackson family against the promoter of Michael’s doomed run of concerts, AEG.

However, E! online is reporting a rift is growing in the family over Paris’ attempt to reconnect with her biological mother Debbie Rowe who gave up custody of the children to the Jackson clan.

A family attorney says the girl is physically fine.

“Being a sensitive 15 year old is difficult no matter who you are.  It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you.  Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention.  Please respect her privacy and the family's privacy,” attorney Perry R. Sanders Jr. said in a statement.

Given the family history of seeking attention while trying to hold back the entertainment media, that’s pretty unlikely.

The lawsuit against AEG in which young Paris is a plaintiff accuses the promoter of negligently hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, who gave Michael Jackson a fatal dose of the anesthetic propofol.
