Afghan President Hamid Karzai is ordering US Special Forces out of Wardak province southwest of Kabul.  He accuses the Americans and U.S.-trained Afghan groups of kidnappings and killings in the region.

“The US special forces and illegal armed groups created by them are causing insecurity, instability, and harass local people in this province,” according to Karzai’s spokesman.

A U.S. military spokesman said he is aware of Karzai’s allegations but would not comment on them before meeting with the regime.

U.S. and U.N. troops are gearing up to leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014.
