Two Customs Officers are among five people arrested as part of a two-year investigation into drug trafficking at Sydney Airport.  This raises the number of arrests linked to the investigation to 17.

Federal Police identify the rest as a former baggage handler, an associate of the Customs officers, and the brother of one of the Officers.

The group has been charged with the alleged importation of drugs on four separate occasions during March and June last year.  In one case, cops nabbed 40 kilograms of pseudoephedrine from Vietnam, the key ingredient to the illegal manufacture of "Ice" which would have had a street value of up to $9.5 million.
