Sounds like the opening line of a joke, eh?  But British Comedienne Cleo Rocos is claiming it happened:  She says she went along as Queen’s legendary front man Freddy Mercury helped Diana, Princess of Wales, dress-up like a male model so the three of them could have a night out at a Gay Bar.

Rocos’ new book “The Power of Positive Drinking” says fellow comic Kenny Everett was in on the deception back in the 1980s.

The four apparently met at Everett’s London penthouse, where Princess Diana was made to look like a prince in an army jacket, cap and sunglasses.  The group then went to Royal Vauxhall Tavern, in South London, which was apparently in vogue with “bears” at the time.

Rocos claims no one at the venerable gay bar noticed, and the group had a nice time.

Rocos is the lone survivor of that soiree into London’s gay nightlife.  The great Freddie Mercury left us too soon dying of an Aids-related illness in 1991, as did Everett in 1995.  The Princess died in a car wreck in Paris in 1997.
