The Melbourne man found hanged in his Israeli jail cell in 2010 may have been planning to cross his Mossad employers and expose the Israeli Spy Agency’s improper use of Australian passports, according to new reports, but was arrested before he got the chance.

Ben Zygier was reportedly imprisoned under such security that his guards weren’t allowed to know his name.  He was kept in a prison that had been earlier constructed for the worst political assassins.  That is where he allegedly committed suicide, despite being under constant surveillance.

The Brisbane Times quoted Australian Security Officials who claim that Zygier was about to inform ASIO of Mossad’s activities in Oz including the use of Australian passports.

The issue had thrown a chill over Australia-Israel relations because of Mossad’s alleged use of Australian passports in the assassination of a senior Hamas official in Dubai in January 2010.  Australian officials did not visit Zygier in the Israeli prison, purportedly because of the dispute between intelligence agencies.
