Interpol has issued a “Red Notice” for the so-called “White Widow”:  29-year old British national Samantha Lewthraite, who some media reports have linked to the deadly terrorist attack at the Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi, Kenya.

Even though many witnesses told investigators they saw a Caucasian woman among the al-Shabab terrorists, the Interpol notice does not specifically mention the mall attack:

"Lewthwaite, aged 29, who is also believed to use the alias 'Natalie Webb,' is wanted by Kenya on charges of being in possession of explosives and conspiracy to commit a felony dating back to December 2011."

Rafaello Pantucci, a counter-terrorism expert and senior research fellow at London's Royal United Services Institute, said authorities believe Lewthwaite “was a figure of some importance within the organization, at an organizational level.”

It’s the second time she’s been linked to an atrocity.  Her husband Germaine Lindsey was one of the London Tube bombers in 2005.  After those attacks, she condemned her husband but shortly after slipped out of the UK to join terrorist cells in Africa.  52 people and four suicide bombers were killed in London in 2005.  At least 61 civilians and six officers were killed in the Nairobi attack.  Many more victims are feared to be buried beneath the rubble.

The Red Notice is designed to alert border and airport officials in all 190-member nations for Lewthwaite, and her known aliases.  It signals she is considered an international threat, not merely a passport fraudster.
