The jury in entertainer Rolf Harris’ trial in London is set to enter its second day of deliberations.  Harris is charged with twelve counts of indecent assault against four girls in the UK between 1968 and 1986.

Justice Nigel Sweeney told the six men and six women that they did not have to rush to come to verdicts, nor should they be swayed by emotion.

“Neither media nor Internet nor speculation nor emotion of any type can have any part whatsoever to play in your deliberations,” the justice said.  The jury could take a week to come to its decision.

Prosecutors said that Harris has a “Jekyll and Hyde” personality who used his fame to get close to young girls and unleash his abusive dark side.  While the twelve counts that Harris was tried on are specific to the UK, another six women testified that they, too, were abused by Harris in Australia, New Zealand, and Malta between 1969 and 1991.

Harris denies the charges.
