The government of Scotland has given its approval to a A$333 Million wind farm project.  The decision immediately angered American real estate developer and TV personality Donald Trump who claims the turbines will spoil the view from a golf course.

The plan is to erect 11 turbines, which will provide enough electricity to power more than 49 thousand homes.

Scottish officials are committed to clean, renewable energy.

Energy Minister Fergus Ewing says, "Offshore renewables represent a huge opportunity for Scotland; an opportunity to build up new industries and to deliver on our ambitious renewable energy and carbon reduction targets.

Trump is now putting a hold on development of the Menie golf course.  He’s also engaging in high dramatics, threatening to sue Scotland, and claiming the clean, renewable power will be “the destruction of Aberdeen and Scotland itself.”
