Rescuers have given up hope of find the Seffner, Florida man who was last seen screaming for his life and falling into a gigantic sinkhole that opened up beneath his bedroom.  The search is over and the man’s brother says his body will probably stay in the hole.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is tearing down the house where 37-year old Jeff Bush likely died on Thursday, in order to get a clear view inside the sinkhole.  Homes on each side of the property are also evacuated.

Firefighters and Bush’s family were able to salvage only a few things from the rubble, a Bible, military awards, and an American flag, as well as some money from a dresser and two laptop computers.

"We were able to get a couple family photos," said Hillsborough County Fire Rescue spokeswoman Jessica Damico.  "They pulled out the only photo they had of their grandmother."

The sinkhole is believed to be at least 6 meters wide and 18 meters deep.  And it’s still expanding.
