Star Wars creator George Lucas has pretty much spilled the beans:  Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher have all signed on for Star Wars: Episode VII, which will be produced by Disney and directed by J.J. Abrams.

Lucas says that the three were pretty much locked in even before it was announced that Disney had purchased the iconic franchise from Lucasfilm.

"We had already signed Mark, Carrie and Harrison, or we were pretty much in the final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on,'" Lucas revealed to Bloomberg Businessweek.

"Maybe I'm not supposed to say that," he added, realizing that Disney probably wanted to make a grand announcement to hype the new flick.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Carrie Fisher had signed on, although her representatives tried to dial that back a little later.

Lucas reveals that he’s been deeply involved in the story development for the new picture, expected in 2015, explaining to the new owners about the technology that exists in his fiction, and the power of the Jedi and other characters.
