A grim find on NSW’s far southern coast:  Human remains have been found near the seen where witnesses say a shark took a woman in her 60s who was out for her regular morning swim with a group about 100 meters off the beach.

This happened at about 8:20 AEDT off of Tathra Beach, and police have closed it off pending the investigation.  Her companions made for the beach and alerted authorities, who called out two boats and a chopper to search the water.  The witnesses are being treated for shock.

All the way on the other side of Oz, authorities say another set of human remains with apparent shark bites could be those of a diver who disappeared Saturday off Dawesville Cut, about 80 kilometers south of Perth.  Police divers located these remains near the place where the 38-year old diver who went missing on Saturday afternoon.
