The White House is now formally accusing the Syrian Regime of crossing a “red line” and using chemical weapons including Sarin Gas against rebel forces during that country’s bloody civil war.

It means the US is getting closer from some sort of involvement in the Syrian conflict, although what that might be is yet to be revealed.  In a telephone briefing, a white house spokesman said it would result in unspecified “military support” for the Syrian Rebels.

Those will be difficult waters for President Barack Obama to navigate, as the so-called Free Syrian Army is made up of factions that include al Qaeda terrorists, sworn enemies of America.  Just yesterday came word the rebels massacred civilians in a village in the east.  Before that, the world’s eyes were opened by a rebel leader appearing on video to eat the heart of fallen Syrian soldier.

It also sets up a proxy war, as Russia is supporting Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and arming his troops.

Earlier, the United Nations said the number of those killed in the Syrian conflict had risen to more than 93,000 people.
