The U.S. Government wants its money back from Lance Armstrong.  The Feds are joining in a lawsuit claiming the fallen cyclist defrauded taxpayers because he was on illegal performance enhancing drugs while on the U.S. Postal Service Cycling Team.

Under the American False Claims Act, the taxpayers would be entitled to recover as much as triple the amount of the sponsorship, which ran from 1994-2004, which was worth $30 MILLION.

After years of accusations and technological advances that found banned substances in old samples, Armstrong admitted he duped the world and achieved his unprecedented Cycling success through a needle.

Armstrong this week had said he will not cooperate with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) investigation into doping cheats.
