Looks like we’ve got a new disease to worry about!  And now the World Health Organization says the NCoV “Novel Coronoavirus” can be spread from person to person.

This virus quietly emerged from the Middle East, particularly from Saudi Arabia and in those who recently traveled to the Arabian Peninsula.

Since 2012, there have been 33 confirmed cases in Germany, the UK and France and the Middle East.  18 people have died, and that number might go up if the WHO confirms two more deaths reported in a Saudi hospital.

The WHO says “Of most concern, is the fact that the different clusters seen in multiple countries increasingly support the hypothesis that when there is close contact this novel coronavirus can transmit from person to person.”

France's second confirmed case was infected in a hospital.  The patient is a 50-year-old man who had shared a hospital room in northern France with a 65-year-old who fell ill with the virus after returning from Dubai.
