Members of Zimbabwe's opposition MDC party say they have been attacked by followers of President Robert Mugabe, and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai seems to be prodding the people to rise up against Mugabe.

This comes fresh off of the Mugabe’s questionable victory in national elections, thanks to what critics call massive voter roll tampering by a foreign company.

Morgan Tsvangirai says that the end of Mugabe’s 33-year dictatorship will not come from the political process or his Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) party.

“Revolutions are something that is inside, and if you've got something inside and it drives you to do something, then nothing can stop you,” Tsvangirai told South African television.

“In this case, there's no strategy for the leadership of the MDC.  We've told people, there's been a subversion in 2002, there's been a subversion in 2008, there's a subversion now.  The power is in your hands. It cannot be a revolution by the leadership."

Meanwhile, eleven MDC members say they were attacked in the capital Harare and were forced to seek refuge at the party headquarters.  About 20 in Mashonaland province say they were rousted from their home by Mugabe supporters going door to door and ordering MDC supporters to pack up and leave.
