Ebola Patients Escaping, Health Care Collapsing: Military Response Required, Warns MSF
The world is losing the battle against Ebola – that's the damning conclusion from the medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), or Doctors Without Borders. MSF’s International President Dr. Joanne Liu castigated world leaders for protecting their own borders instead of helping contain Ebola at the source – a response she calls “lethally inadequate”.
Ebola Vaccines To Be Tested In US
The first human trial on an experimental Ebola vaccine is set to begin in the United States this week. The vaccine is being developed by the US National Institutes of Health and the pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Officials say it has already “performed extremely well” in tests on primates.

The US military attacked al Shabaab militants in Somalia, according to the Pentagon. It comes after al Shabaab carried out a car bombing in the capital Mogadishu, and Somali government forces retook control of a prison that had come under attack by the terrorist group.
